10/03/03 Justin Wiersema - His life as a Master's student at WIU, passion for Jimmy Buffet, Jordan, Tommy Boy, and why County Fairs build confidence

ES: Where do you reside?
JW: Western Illinois University, Macomb, Illinois

ES: What makes you money today?
JW: One big scholarship check that I get from basketball at the beginning of each semester, and also loan checks. I make these stretch out throughout the semester.

ES: What is your title, what do you do, and where?
JW: Don't really have a title, I guess you could call me a Master's Student in Law Enforcement, Men's Basketball Administrative Assistant too.

ES: What time do you wake up & what's the first thing you do?
JW: I like to be up between 9-10, and I walk straight to the shower.

ES: What do you do in your spare time?
JW: I bought my first computer not to long ago, so I am slowly learning about all of this computer stuff, I also like to play and watch any kind of sports.

ES: What's in your cd player right now?
JW: Jimmy Buffett "Meet Me in Margaritaville", great CD, anything by Buffett is usually all that is in my CD player these days.

ES: What's your favorite website and why? (Eric-Sharp.com is not electable)
JW: Probably ESPN.com, they have all of the sports news that a sports fan could want, stats, etc, it is all there.

ES: List a few of your short term goals. (Travel, career, personal, etc.)
JW: My only goal right now is to complete my thesis, which I will be starting in the next month or so, I am mainly focusing on that right now, then after that I guess it will be time to get a real job that I am happy with and can be successful in.

ES: If you could spend a day with anyone in the world (living), who would it be and why?
JW: It would be Michael Jordan, my sports icon. I would love to just discuss the media pressure that he has faced all of his life, as well as basketball. I would like to see what he is like in real life, because so many people have this opinion of him and look up to him, but do we really know him? Then, of course, I would ask him for some free shoes and clothes and autographs, ya know?

ES: Favorite movies of all time?
JW: Al Pacino in "Carlito's Way", "Tommy Boy", "Liar, Liar", & "Belly"

ES: If you were given the power to either fly (45 mph max), or become invisible for a designated duration of 30 minutes every day, which one would you choose & why?
JW: I think I would choose the invisible one because I would like to see people go about their daily lives while nobody is watching. Also it would be cool to get away once in a while, I mean really get away!

ES: Have you ever been arrested? If so, what for?
JW: No, I have not.

ES: What's your most favorite memory of Eric?
JW: Oh Gosh... This is the hardest question. I have a few, I hope that is ok. One of them is when we were tubing on the snow, and Eric's face was smashed into the frozen ground by a jumping Uncle Chris, resulting in the worst bloody nose I have ever seen in my entire life. Also the worst bruising too. We laugh about that all the time. Another memory is Spring Break '02. We had a great time in Orlando, staying at the Sharp Penthouse, as well as some interesting nights. Another memory is being in 6th Grade and walking around the Carroll County fair with Eric. We had so many chicks following us. Also I remember that Eric was the first person that knew when I first French kissed a girl. I called him right away.
