11/02/03 Luke Eshleman - Workin' his family's business, his dog Patience, U2, and why 'Top Gun' quotes can expand your vocabulary

ES: Where do you reside?
LE: I am a homeowner in Sterling IL. U.S.A.

ES: What makes you money today?
LE: Working as a Production Manager at my family company Illinois
Forge, Inc. in Rock Falls.

ES: What is your title, what do you do, and where?
LE: As a Production Manager I oversee our day shift. I see that our
product is organized, processed and flawless in every regard before it
is shipped to our customers.

ES: What time do you wake up & what's the first thing you do?
LE: I wake up a little after 6:00 a.m. and immediately turn my stereo
on. Preferably something to wake me up and get me going.

ES: What do you do in your spare time?
LE: I work on my house alot, and I am also the head coach for the
Sterling Park District XC team. I also enjoy spending as much time as I can with my dog "Patience".

ES: What's in your cd player right now?
LE: The new Outkast. A group by the name MVP. The new Vertical
Horizon and of course the best band in the world - U2 (always one of their Cd's in rotation)

ES: What's your favorite website and why? (Eric-Sharp.com is not electable)
LE: www.u2.com because it shows me everything & anything I need to know about the band.

ES: List a few of your short term goals. (Travel, career, personal, etc.)
LE: Keep my ritual visits a must where it all started with my boys in O-town, and become a professional air hocky champion.

ES: If you could spend a day with anyone in the world (living), who would it be and why?
LE: It would have to be Bono (frontman U2). Not only has his music inspired me countless times but also his humanitarian and political efforts in making this world a better place. He truly is an inspiration.

ES: Favorite movies of all time?
LE: I quote lines from the movie "Top Gun" almost every day, and also "Pulp Fiction". Although I have many favorites in this category.

ES: If you were given the power to either fly (45 mph max), or become invisible for a designated duration of 30 minutes every day, which one would you choose & why?
LE: I would choose flying so i could fly to all the U2 concerts around the world! Also to see my boys in O-town whenever necessary.

ES: Have you ever been arrested? If so, what for?
LE: Yes, ask Ethan Pitsch and Tyler Andersen.

ES: What's your most favorite memory of Eric?
LE: Well, If I submitted a drunk memory it just wouldn't do the survey and it's readers any justice - there are just too many to choose from. My most sobering favorite moment with Eric has to be when I picked him up from the University of Platteville after he chose not to continue his education there and to begin at Full Sail. It was a real crucial time in his life where he was making a big decision and I was glad to be there for him as I will always..
